Tanggung Jawab dan Specs Seorang Rotating Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Give advise on all aspects of rotating equipment engineering, operations and maintenance with the objective of ensuring the safe, reliable and cost-efficient operation of machinery in new and existing installations.

2. Be involved with root cause analysis, failure diagnosis and shutdown assistance of major machinery.

3. Manage rotating equipment condition monitoring and performance monitoring programmes, and develop procedures to monitor equipment availability and reliability.

4. Perform dynamic simulation, rotor dynamics and reliability modelling studies.

5. Write design specifications of rotating equipment for new projects, and monitor the performance of engineering contractors in their activities.

6. Participate in concept selection studies and contributing to development releases for novel equipment, contribute to the revision of the Group’s specifications and be in contact with major rotating equipment manufacturers regarding the development of new equipment and problem-solving issues.

7. Working independently or as a member of multi-disciplinary teams, coach, mentor and develop junior staff, and provide training where necessary.

Required Specs:

1. BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering,

2. have at least 10 years’ experience working with rotating equipment in an operational environment. This will include design, testing, operation, trouble-shooting and maintenance.REE’ll have worked with engineering contractors on the specification and selection of rotating equipment for new installations, it would be preferred to have experience of providing advice and consultancy to clients.

3. Fluent written and verbal English is essential, have excellent presentation, and communication skills.
